The organization participates in the work of the Seventh Congress against the Death Penalty in the European Parliament
The delegation of the International Organization for Human Rights and International Law, headed by the Chairman of the Organization, Dr. Aihan Jaf, invited the International Coalition against the Death Penalty to participate in its seventh conference, which began yesterday at the headquarters of the European Parliament in the Belgian capital Brussels for four days.
The opening session of the conference was attended by representatives of the European Ministries of Foreign Affairs and members of the European Parliament as well as representatives of international and regional human rights organizations it was addressed through multiple speeches by officials against execution the most important of which is the speech of Pope Francis of the Vatican, which was broadcast live video at the conference where he called on all countries of the world to stop the death penalty.
A workshop was launched within the Conference to prepare legal methods to pressure the countries that continue to carry out the death penalty and to urge them to accede to the International Convention against the Death penalty. The delegation of the organization presented a research paper in this legal framework.
On the sideline of the conference, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Organization, Dr. Aihan Jaf, met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Norway Mr. Audun Halvorsen, and a number of members of the European Parliament and prominent jurists. The discussion focused on the human rights situation in the countries of the world and the necessity of holding constructive conferences that contribute to lighting the hotbeds of injustice and deprivation in the world.

On 20/2/2018, its constituent body met and the name was amended and re-published on behalf of the International Organization for Human Rights and International Law. In the Kingdom of Norway under the number "Org Nr917987025" and has the temporary consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, is an international non-governmental and non-political neutral and non-profit organization concerned with the protection and promotion of human rights and defense.
